2006 David Garrett plays his first crossover album "Free" (international) or "Virtuoso" (Germany). It reflects the musical taste of a 26-year-old who loves the great melodies, no matter what genre they come from. In addition to virtuoso interpretations of popular classical pieces, the album also features romantic film scores and three very different original compositions. The extraordinary record is complemented by a brilliant, symphonic adaptation of Metallica's "Nothing else matters".
