Now the star violinist is returning David Garrett back with a new recording - Iconic. Released as a limited edition fan box, it includes a signed deluxe CD (with three bonus tracks and a 12-page booklet showcasing the violinist's art in words and pictures), a 2023 desk calendar, posters and stickers, and a 3D eye mask featuring Iconic-Logo. David Garrett pays tribute here to the great violinists of the Golden Age - legends of the 20th century such as Heifetz, Kreisler and Menuhin. His personal selections bring pearls of classical music to the ear. They are atmospheric miniatures and dazzling virtuoso pieces, by Bach or Mendelssohn, Schumann or Dvořák, Gluck or Kreisler and many more. Arranged especially for violin, guitar and orchestra, these pieces are given a new, unique and intimate touch. David Garrett is accompanied by his guitarist Franck van der Heijden, who also plays the orchestra The Prezent conducts. "I've recorded many virtuoso albums myself," says David Garrett, "but this time I wanted to focus on the essentials, on what goes to the heart." In duo arrangements, David Garrett is joined by his former teacher Itzhak Perlman, the star tenor Andrea Bocelli, the flautist Cocomi and the trumpeter Till Brönner to experience. Iconic will be published on November 4, 2022 by German Gramophone.
