VÖ: 09. OCTOBER 2015
UNIVERSAL MUSIC - DECCA
David Garrett's album Explosive was released in 2015. "This album is unique and not at all comparable to anything I've done before."explains the star violinist. What is particularly unique about it is that David Garrett exposes himself here as a composer to a greater extent than on any previous album. No fewer than 11 original compositions - around 70 percent of the disc - show the internationally celebrated violinist in a new, exciting light. He says it is very important to him to make his fans more and more familiar with his own pieces. "And I have to say, it feels great to finally be able to present that side of me to people as well."
In the first place of the album, however, is not an original composition, but "Dangerous" by David Guetta: "That was a huge thing in 2014. And since I wanted to make it easier for people to get into my new project, I chose "Dangerous" as the opener. The track has everything that excites me and hopefully makes the whole album: exciting modern yet symphonic sounds, great rhythms, catchy melodies and exciting harmonic progressions."
Other famous rock/pop classics that David Garrett has adapted for Explosive are by Eminem ("Lose Yourself"), Michael Jackson ("They Don't Really Care About Us"), Ed Sheeran ("Thinking Out Loud"), Miley Cyrus ("Wrecking Ball") and Metallica ("Fuel"). The fact that for his own compositions "Serenity" and "How Many Times"Nicole Scherzinger and Xavier Naidoo as singers is for David Garrett the fulfillment of a dream and an award for his abilities at the same time.
Explosive is available as a standard version with 15 tracks as well as a deluxe version with 6 bonus tracks.
In addition, a limited edition fan box will be released that includes a deluxe CD, an autographed copy, a desk calendar and a cloth bag.
