Description
Classic Romance (2009) is a purely classical album on which the Echo-Klassik winner has explored his favorite composers of classical romantic music. It was very important to David Garrett to record a purely classical album in order to present the beauty of this music to his many fans: "Classical music is always the basis for everything I do. It also served as inspiration for my own interpretations of Michael Jackson or AC/DC". In addition to Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, the album features pieces by Schubert, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, some of which he rearranged and recorded with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin under the baton of Andrew Litton.
